Collecting Clarity: Action only after clarity
Are you ready to take action backed with a deep knowing?
The Clarity Collective is my vision of the future of wellness for women at work, with home in mind. A roadmap for successful thinking with our most aligned heart, mind and strengths to find what we want at the time in our lives when we have time in front of us and experience to back it up.
This Clarity Collective is for women only with 12+ years of work experience who want to be successful, magnetize abundance and move ahead without fear or self loathing. We will focus on a 9-12 month goal, walk through my Clarity toolkit. This is not launched to the public yet!
If Nice Guys Finish Last, Do Slow Guys finish last too? I’ll never know.
Our genetics bless and curse us when our aging nerves create deeper and deeper tracks. As we age, we become set into a pace that will lessen as our cells regenerate. Living a slow life, isn’t anything I’ll sign up for anytime soon. My mind works quickly, and in slow mode turns into mush. Having led large teams, I realize every pace is needed to keep progress well rounded.
The constant unsolicited advice to slow down, is not longer sticking. Has anyone ever told a male counterpart in my generation to slow down? I have never heard that feedback given to anyone but a female.
Slowness isn’t in my genetics, so please understand that although I live in a winter climate from December to March, like the rest of the Northern Hemisphere, mine looks different than yours. As the sun sets earlier, I write more, I workout differently, my mediations are midday, but I’m still active.
There are my personal benefits to moving fast, thinking fast and feeling fast. In honor of cheetahs, please stop telling me to slow down.
Your Career Fear Cycle Ends here
I’ve been going gray since I was 30, my colorist gasping in the chair the week of my 30th birthday. It’s an relatively quick fix for me, the highlighting and gray coverage coloring I use to mask a silver fox look I’m not ready to embrace. I have accepted that it will pop up every few weeks and I make an appointment to get it back to my (natural) color.
What if imposter syndrome is that gray hair of your career, inevitable for 90% of us after 40? Are you willing to find a way to mask it even if you know it might get louder from time to time?

About A Brighter Year and me.
A women’s retreat is like that murky July ocean. You aren’t sure who you will meet, why they are attending, why they need to be there or who they came with. Social awareness is at a tipping point, hoping you’ll find a new chosen family member. Is this true of work, a party or a school volunteer event, too?
Do it scared- I don’t think so. Recognizing fear can help create YOUR plan.
What if adulthood, midcareer, we looked at our work or career or life as the hot wheels car everyone wants. What if we just went for it, like a kid’s elbows? Then we’d be bored and rude instead of aligned and thoughtful as we all hope to be in 2024.
The Thing About Rest
We aren’t terribly great at rest in the 21st century.
I wonder what our agricultural ancestors would think of all of us ‘working on’ resting as an activity on our calendars. Time blocking rest would be laughable to hunters and gatherers when their use of natural sunrises and sunsets, the planting and harvesting seasons significantly helped them regulate sleeping and eating as a cycle every day.
Their shock would multiply with the ways social media content focuses on nutrition tips as they only ate to be strong enough to harvest and plant. Sadly, we eat to nourish our sitting at desks or in cars, running ourselves and our kids ragged for participation trophies.

Confession I’m a Weird-at-Work- Barbie-turned-Wellness-Barbie
I’m weird barbie and I love it.
I miss that blackberry keyboard but that’s all I miss about the 24x7 connectivity. What a vacation break can do for you:
I am sad we lost the blackberry keyboard but the device gave us work 24x7 and we need to learn to take breaks.
