Watching my nephews battle over a red convertible hot wheel car, their elbows flying with the intensity of live WWE wrestling match style tackles, I gasp when I realize they have no care if they whack their head son the couch or side table. Typical toddlers, they have one need in mind–that sassy red car they need ownerships up.

What if adulthood, midcareer, we looked at our work or career or life as the hot wheels car everyone wants. What if we just went for it, like a kid’s elbows? Then we’d be bored and rude instead of aligned and thoughtful as we all hope to be in 2024.
