I know why It’s Happening
People love to give unsolicited advice, amIright? I could give you hundreds of examples in my 45 years on advice I’ve gotten over the years from parenting, nutrition, work and how I load the dishwasher.
Last night, I ran into a friend of a friend who told me my change of lifestyle from corporate to freelance coaching, speaking and writing would take so much time to adjust to. She, with good intentions, told me to take time to find out what I really wanted to do. This came without the question, “what are you up to in this next chapter?” or “how did you decide to add wellness, energy work and coaching to your toolkits?”
What she didn’t know was I have done countless trials and errors in what is next. But why does there have to be a next right away? There doesn’t!
There is a level of uncomfortableness in slowing down in a hustle culture. It can be hard to change the nervous system from 1000 to 50. There is a way to do it, with intention, grace and a lot less pressure on yourself.
So my July plan is to relax, complete my coaching and reiki workshops and some pretty prestigious places and then really lean into Summer of Fun 2022.
How do you slow down?
I’d love to hear more.
