Jacki Carr - Asking for Help- The Purposeful Pivot

Jacki Carr (@jackicarr) is a goal coach, leadership consultant, writer, speaker, and Mama. She believes we all have the power and choice to leave a legacy of our own design and requests that we not be stingy with our gifts we have to offer this globe. She lives in Evergreen, Colorado and can often be seen on the trails hiking with her two daughters, mountain man of a husband and yes, they wear a lot of flannel.  She’s part of the @therockyourblissmovement dynamic co-founding duo!

This lady is one of my favorite humans- the energy, the sass that meets reality, the passion for coaching and nature and community is felt 2000 miles away!

+What is one piece of advice a mentor told you that's stuck with you? Who told you?

My Mother wrote on a post it note, 'some times, you have to get lost to get found'. I always remember this when shit hits the fan or I am off track or in transition. This permission slip allows me to come back home to myself and allow myself to change and evolve.

+Name a time that you pivoted in your career?

I left my corporate position at lululemon and started my own businesses to be a goal coach and crafter of the bliss.

+How did that pivot change your personal/'home life?

I had to l learn how to lean, ask for help, and listen to my partner when he said, 'time to close that computer and go for a run'.

+ What advice can you offer the next generation of working moms?

Get curious about a mixture of what lights you up and what makes you feel strong. And always inquire: "what am I learning here?", even when out of the college classroom, especially when out of the classroom and maybe even more so when out there in the quote unquote adult life, we are always, always learning.
